Change in design stalls Maravanthe harbour project
Mangaluru: The construction of an other fisheries harbour at Maravanthe in Kundapur taluk of Udupi district, based on the Kerala model, that was expected to benifte the fishing community of the region, smells of a scam. The work on the project worth Rs. 54.69 crore began in 2013, but is still not completed. A major reason was a change of project coordinates mid-way, due to which the project could not be completed with the allocated funds. [READMORE]
